BJ's chief steps down; Wedge to succeed

NATICK, MA —
BJ's Wholesale Club has announced that John "Jack" Nugent has stepped down as president and ceo for personal reasons. The board has elected Michael Wedge, formerly executive vp, club operations, to replace him.
Wedge joined the company in 1988 and has served in his former position since 1997.
The company also announced that Edward Giles has been named executive vp, club operations. He had previously held the title of executive vp of field operations, and has been with BJ's since 1992.
