K.I.D.S. and Fashion Delivers to honor fashion leaders

New York -- Kids in Distressed Situations and Fashion Delivers jointly announced that they will honor three fashion industry leaders for outstanding philanthropic commitment at this year's annual fund-raising gala on Dec. 2 at the Pierre New York Hotel.
Proceeds of the event will be donated to children and families in need through K.I.D.S. and Fashion Delivers. More than $1.1 million was raised at last year's event.
This year's honorees include: Michael Balmuth, president and ceo of Ross Stores, who will receive the Retailer Award; Rick Darling, president of LF USA, the U.S. sector of consumer goods sourcing company Li & Fung Limited, who will be honored with the Fashion Has a Heart Award; and Matthew McCauley, ceo of children's clothing retailer The Gymboree Corporation, who will receive the K.I.D.S. Lifetime Achievement Award.
"We are proud to recognize these industry leaders for their unwavering support and commitment to helping children and families in need," said Rick F. Schaub Jr., svp, Learning Curve Brands and chairman of K.I.D.S.
