PakTex targets hip consumers

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 1/12/2004 12:00:00 AM

PakTex International, which develops and imports bedding and home fashions from Pakistan, has signed an agreement to produce an exclusive line for designer John Bernard of Room Service.

Room Service's stores target a hip, upmarket customer. Stores are located in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Orange County, Calif, as well as Tokyo.

PakTex International will produce the Room Service line with its partner Usman Ltd. based in Karachi, Pakistan.

"Since being in a creative environment like Laguna Beach, we decided to focus on the fashion and design groups in Los Angeles and the surf community in Orange County to help develop textiles solutions for today's bedding and home lifestyles," said PakTex CEO and founder David Jumani.

PakTex's product line includes comforter sets, quilts, bed-in-a-bag, duvets and other better home fashions from Pakistan.
