Westover broadens job focus

Firm adds executive-level design jobs

ATHERTON, CA — Westover & Associates, an executive search firm focusing on high-level sales jobs in the home fashions industry, is broadening its focus to include searches for executive-level design, creative services, product development and import/sourcing positions.

"In the past, as a favor to current customers, we've always accepted high-level design, product development and importing searches, but turned them down when requested by employers we hadn't previously worked with," said Catherine Westover, president. "Specializing primarily in sales positions created cost savings that we were able to pass on to our customers in the form of very competitive fees."

Now, said Michelle Falk, director of executive recruiting, and a former Wamsutta executive, "We found that with the current shift toward increased offshore manufacturing, employers were having significant difficulty in filling these openings."
