NEW YORK —
Texpoint, a new designer/supplier of high-end decorative bedding, pillows and window coverings, will get its start with a lineup of product to be unveiled at 261 Fifth Ave., suite 1414 here this week.
Industry veteran Chris Christiansen is launching Texpoint as a company offering "textiles with a point of differentiation."
The initial collection of 10 styles range from traditional to classic contemporary and are cotton sateens from 320-count to 400-count. "The sheets have to look elegant and simple and cross among the comforter patterns. We're doing everything with an eye to detail — double tucks, hem stitches. The comforters, pillow shams and window coverings all will have bells and whistles."
The patterns will be driven by fiber-reactive prints for the launch line, followed by jacqaurds, Christiansen said.
The products will be sourced globally with the initial line coming from China, Italy, Pakistan and India. Everything will be warehoused in Greenville, SC.
Christiansen's background includes executive positions at J.P. Stevens, Croscill, Frette, Sheridan and Doran.
We would love your feedback!
