New York — Target Stores and Crate & Barrel ceo Gordon Segal are among the winners of this year's National Design Award presented by the Smithsonian Institution's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.

"Insisting on the highest design standards, Segal established a talented architectural department within his company, and their designs have won several awards from the American Institute of Architects and the Chicago Athenaeum," according to the Smithsonian.
