China design winners to be announced

Shanghai , China – The 2006 China International Home Textiles Design Competition and Exhibition was recently held at Shanghai International Home Textile Industrial Park (HTIP).
The theme of the competition, “the same dream,” was reflected in six parts: luxury, fashion, leisure, originality, celebration, and joviality. The panel of judges included Jason Soo, coo and project director, Oceania Publishing and Media, Ltd., the exclusive sales representatives for Home Textiles Today in China . The long-term goal of the competition is to promote design as a vital part of the Chinese home textiles industry.
Winners, in eight categories, will be announced Aug. 28 at the Shanghai Intertextile Fair, where their designs will be on display.
Hosts of the event were the China Home Textile Association, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, MesseFrankfurt (Exhibition) Hong Kong , with special support from HTIP and Shanghai Pengxin Group.
