TJX names two to board

Framingham,Mass.– Shareholders of off-price retailer TJX Companies have elected David Ching and Michael Hines to the board of directors, joining eight other ongoing directors who were re-elected. Ching is svp and cio of supermarket chain Safeway, a post held since 1994. Ching was formerly general manager-NorthAmericafor British American Consulting Group. Hines was most recently evp and cfo of Dick’s Sporting Goods, a post held from 1995 through March 2007. He had previous positions at Staples and Deloitte & Touche.
