Blonder ready to cook in kitchen

CLEVELAND — Bath products supplier Blonder Home Accents is making two strides at the upcoming New York Home Textiles Market: It is moving into a permanent showroom and expanding into kitchen textiles.

The company, based here, has signed a lease for a 1,700-square-foot space on the 16th Floor at 295 Fifth Ave. The company has been using a temporary space to show its lines to customers at market since Blonder — originally a wall-coverings company — entered the bath-products business a year ago.

Now, the company is expanding into another new category — kitchen accessories. The new collections will debut at market.

"Kitchen and bath remodeling is notoriously expensive," said Brian Murphy, vice president, sales. "And renters can't remodel even if they want to. Accessorizing is the way to provide a quick, affordable fix, and our new lines are designed to make that happen."
