Rizzy, HomeTexco in Larger Quarters

Rizzy Rugs and sister company HomeTexco have relocated to a 105,000-square-foot headquarters and distribution center here, doubling their available space. Both companies are divisions of RizTex USA.

Rizzy Rugs is a 35-year-old marketer of popular-priced rugs made in India. Rizwan Ansari is president and ceo of RizTex and Rizzy Rugs. His younger brother, Shamsu Ansari, is director and head of the HomeTexco division, a designer and maker of duvets, comforters, bedspreads, linens, pillows, runners, curtains and hand-crafted accessories. Both men are based in India.

Rizzy rugs have been sold in the United States since 1971. Previously, the company sold only container programs to large retailers — but with the new distribution facility, it now is offering products to medium and smaller retailers, said Rizwan Ansari.

"Because of capacity at our factories in India and our commitment to warehousing here in Georgia, we are now able to do business with stores that want to purchase smaller quantities and have them shipped from a domestic FOB point," he said.

Rizzy Rugs and HomeTexco will show at summer markets in Atlanta and Las Vegas.
