New York – Top of bed “is a real winner” for JCPenney’s Linden Street private brand home furnishings collection that launched this summer.
Window and bath also have been strong performers in the home textiles world, Jeff Allison, executive vp, home, told HTT. “We will continue to ramp up the whole program.”
Allison, along with Mike Boylson, evp and chief marketing officer, were the key Penney executives yesterday evening at the dedication of the upgraded Sara D. Roosevelt Park in lower Manhattan, which the company sponsored as part of its community action program around the U.S. The company also used the occasion to promote Linden Street and will donate Linden Street furniture and other home items displayed during the party to the nearby YMCA.
Linden Street is an important part of the Penney home strategy. “The statement it makes to consumers is one of our strongest private brands,” Allison said. Overall, he added, “All private brands are strong.”
