NEW YORK —
Ashley McBride has returned.
The high-end import bedding company, owned by Barry Shapiro, previously specialized in Italian imports. In the late '90s, Shapiro retired. "But I couldn't stay retired. I didn't have enough to do," he said.
The new Ashley McBride specializes in bedding made in India "with a European look and quality" and includes jacquards and laces. Victor Hollingsworth is serving as a consultant to Shapiro, and merchandise will be drop shipped.
