New York —
The dec pillow division of Home Fashions International (HFI) is building on the success of its 100% silk program with the addition of more aggressively priced but equally striking polyester silk pillows.
They are priced for retail from $14.99 to $17.99 (compared to the raw silk pillows the company sells starting at $25). These new faux versions are more embellished, with a variety of opulent trims. They can also be filled with feather. They also come in 10 styles and up to 80 skus.
HFI is also building upon the success of its pet bed program. Now, 80% of HFI's core line is being offered in pet beds, a shot up from the original 20%. Better fabrications also continue to be a point of differentiation. An elegant paisley jacquard can hit $69.99.
