Williamsburg, Va. – Legacy brand Colonial Williamsburg took silver honors in the Multichannel Merchant Awards category for Gifts, based on its Holiday 2007 catalog.
“Everything from the merchandising of the book to its presentation, production, customer service, ease of use and performance were reviewed during the judging process, so it is truly the outstanding efforts of our entire team being recognized at this level in the direct marketing industry,” said Tammy Kersey, director of direct marketing, Colonial Williamsburg.
The catalog competed against finalists including those submitted by Green Mountain Coffee Roaster, L.L. Bean, Harry & David, and The Orvis Company.
The Gifts category is one of the most competitive; the awards go to “those brands that offer a comprehensive and consistent experience for consumers, connecting them with the brand and encouraging shopping,” the company said.
Hmm - customer service has always been very friendly to me, each and every of the 20 times I've called over the last few years to ask to be taken off their mailing list. I don't know if they have computer problems or what, but the customer service folks are nice as can be!
