Westgate Interiors to benefit Katrina families

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 2/1/2007 11:56:00 AM

Grand Prairie, Texas – Westgate Interiors will donate 5% of all sales from its new French Quarter collection to relief efforts in the City of New Orleans and the surrounding Gulf Coast area, the company said.

Westgate Interiors evp Mark Knight made the announcement at the company’s spring sales meeting, and said, “At a time when many Americans are being reminded on the evening news that things are not back to normal for many of the families in this region, we felt as a company that we wanted to help re-focus the spotlight on the needs in these communities.”

The company describes French Quarter as a “lush collection of silk plaids, stripes, embroideries and solids [that] captures the essence of the historic city of New Orleans .”

Home Furnishings International is the parent company of Westgate Interiors, as well as the American Decorative Fabrics and Westgate Home divisions.
