Christiansen Joins Lawrence Home Fashions

Veteran home textiles executive Chris Christiansen has joined Lawrence Home Fashions here as executive vp of sales and marketing.

Christiansen reports to president Gary Walfish, who commented, "We are very excited to have someone of Chris' background and expertise on board. He will be a solid asset as we continue to move towards being even more important in the U.S. market. Our goal is to become a significant niche player concentrating on quality, service, and ingenuity."

Christiansen began his career at the former J.P. Stevens, where he ultimately became the brand manager for Utica. He then joined Croscill, which was then transforming itself into a total home fashions resource. He headed the U.S. division of Sheridan of Australia for nearly seven years, leaving to become president of Italian luxury bedding and accessory producer Frette.

In the past few years he has been working with 1st Asia, supplying some of the home textiles industry's suppliers, including Lawrence Home Fashions.
