Home Comfort and Homefires Go to the Dogs for Atlanta Market

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 7/27/2009 12:00:00 AM

Sister companies Home Comfort and Homefires — both novelty accent and area rug suppliers — introduced several new dog-themed designs in Atlanta during the Gift and Home Furnishings market earlier this month.

Home Comfort's Jellybean brand of accent rugs is adding 16 dog styles aimed for gift and specialty retailers.

Among the new designs are general dog themes, like Doggie Treats by designer Caroline Forbis, as well as breed-specific designs like Yorkie with Dragonflies by well-known dog breed artist Paper Russells.

All dog-themed Jellybean rugs are available in 22-by-34 sizes and are priced at $29.50 each retail.

The rugs are made from a blend of polypropylene and acrylic fibers with 35% recycled materials, are machine-washable and suitable for use both indoors or outdoors.

Homefires' new dog-themed accent rug depicts a bandana-wearing black Labrador retriever pattern by designer Stephanie Stouffer.

Made under the company's Carefree brand, the rug is machine washable and hand hooked with soft and durable acrylic fibers. The available size is 22-by-34 and the retail is set at $39.99.
