DuPont taps Fisher to manage accent rug biz

ATLANTA —

DuPont Nylon Flooring has appointed Katherine Fisher to the new position of sales and marketing manager for the accent rugs market.

In her new post, Fisher will attempt to expand the recognition of DuPont fiber brands in accent rugs among national retailers and mills.

Prior to joining DuPont, Fisher was the corporate accounts manager for Design Works, the manufacturers of Royal Sateen and Calvin Klein bedding. Earlier in her career, she worked as an account manager for Burlington House.

"I am excited about the opportunity to grow our fiber business in the accent rug market," said Fisher, who is based at the company's Kennesaw, GA, office. "Accent rugs are a fast-growing floor covering segment, and I look forward to increasing mill and retailer awareness for our brands."

She reports to Ana Torrence, business manager for DuPont Rug Fibers.
