Sugar Valley, Ga. – Mohawk Home has lost one of its longtime sales staffers to cancer.
Carrie Janet Mechsner, who worked for Mohawk Home for the past 14 years of her career as its West Coast business manager, passed away Sept. 17. She was 52.
Mohawk Home said Mechsner “energetically marched through life with purpose, class and a great sense of style.”
Mechsner grew up in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, and worked as a young girl in her family’s sporting goods business, where she learned to sell by her father's side. In 1980, she moved to California, where she began working in sales.
Over the past 14 years, she was assigned to service Mohawk Home’s West Coast customer base, including Anna's Linens, Home Depot, Costco, Fred Meyer, Mervyns, and others. Mechsner lived in Huntington Beach, Calif.
In addition to her parents, Carrie is survived by her brother Jeff Needham and sister Julie Jacques and their families. In memory of Mechsner, it is asked that a donation be made to any cancer charity.
We would love your feedback!
