Caesarea unveils HydroMagic

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/1/2004 12:00:00 AM

Bath rug manufacturer Caesarea Creations is preparing to unveil a new bath rug construction that adapts fiber technologies used in activewear.

The new HydroMagic is designed to absorb more moisture and dry faster than conventional cotton or nylon rugs.

“People love cotton because it absorbs very well, but it takes ages to dry. Nylon rugs dry quickly, but don’t absorb because the water stays on the surface of the rug. Our rug absorbs like cotton but dries like a synthetic,” said Gidi Landau, vice president, sales and marketing for the company, which is based in Israel.

Caesarea created a new fiber by combining elements of an activewear fiber. The rugs will be offered in several sculpted designs, as well as in constructions that combine various yarn widths to create pattern. The company will also offer HydroMagic in solids and heathered constructions.
