Plano, Texas – JCPenney today announced the launch of a program that allows customers to earn points when they shop at the company’s stores, website or catalogs.
JCP Rewards automatically gives customers points on one of three personal credit or debit cards that they register online for the program. As points accumulate, shoppers can use their points to purchase regular and sale-priced merchandise. Points double for customers who have shopped JCP in the previous month. In addition, shoppers who register a JCPenney credit card receive extra points.
“We know that a significant number of consumers are shopping in our merchandise categories each month. We also know that our customers spend an average of $30 to $40 each time they shop with us,” said Mike Boylson, evp, chief marketing officer. “With ‘JCP Rewards’ we are able to reward customers for regularly shopping at JCPenney, while building long-term customer loyalty.”
JCP Rewards members can earn up to $120 in reward certificates a year. The $10 certificates remain valid through the end of the calendar month in which it is issued.
