Show program in 4-part harmony

NEW YORK -The New York Home Textiles Show events program includes a four-part presentation-Future Focus 2001-that explores specific topics affecting the color, design, technology and lifestyles that will shape the future of home furnishings.
The series will be at the Jacob Javits Convention Center here beginning with the first program-"Techno Textiles...The Future is Now" today at 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The program includes the winners of the first Future Focus Hunter Douglas Technology Competition that recognizes college students for their achievements in new textile technology as well as a panel discussion with the students, educators, media members and manufacturers.
On Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Pantone, the official Future Focus Color Forecaster, will explain the ways color affects business, as well as color direction for the coming years.
The third session on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. is called "Who's Got the $? Who's Spending the $," an analysis of Gen X, Y, Baby Boomers, and Seniors. The panel will give an inside look at what consumers want and how to keep them coming back for more.
The fourth session, Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 pm, is called "Taking the Rose Out of Rose Colored Glasses...A Realistic Look at the Future" and will change the way we buy, sell and live.
Tickets for the four sessions are $150.
