Spartanburg, S.C. —
Leigh Fibers, a supplier of reprocessed and raw fibers, will invest $10.1 million over the next five years to expand its manufacturing plant in Wellford, S.C.
Leigh Fibers recycles textiles waste and uses the material to manufacture new fibers. New equipment slated for the facility will allow the company to diversify its product offerings. The company also imports and exports in more than 25 countries.
“We continue to see an increase in demand for our products and services, and this expansion will help us better serve our customers as well as position us for future growth,” said Keith Taylor, president.”
The company has been reprocessing textiles for more than a century. The expansion should add 40 jobs, the company said.
