Frankfurt, Germany —
Basic bedding manufacturer Zhejiang Multi-Glory introduced Tri-Max, a new eco-friendly line of mattress pads, at the Heimtextil international home textiles fair here.
The Tri-Max line offers buyers the opportunity to customize a benefits-oriented mattress pad using a combination of two out of seven options of fill, above and below a layer of down, the Hangzhou, China-based company explained.
"It's like a sandwich," said Zhang Junhau, president, adding that each eco-friendly fill component has its own features.
The fiber fill options include:
Kapok — good thermal resistance, naturally anti dust mite, biodegradable;
Lyocell — moisture control, better heat retention, naturally anti-bacterial;
Jute — temperature control, water absorbent, bacteria resistant;
Silk — high absorbency, anti-allergenic, luxurious;
Bamboo — anti-bacterial, breathable;
PLA — breathable, recyclable and biodegradable;
Wool — good insulator, absorbent, lightweight.
Cover fabric is available in all-cotton or blended, said Zhang Junhau.
"The combination of fibers and the grade of the fabric can vary, so we can address a range of price points from mass market to department store," he said.
Multi-Glory is beginning production on orders for the European market and at Heimtextil is debuting Tri-Max to U.S. accounts as well.
We would love your feedback!
