NEW YORK —
The inaugural Concept 2 Consumer Symposium, "Color: Emotion and Science," will be held in New York March 26 to 27.
Targeting designers, merchandisers, and others involved in product development, the event will address key issues in the development of color for soft goods.
The lectures will address color trends, color standards, CAD and quality control, as well as offer new ways to improve quality and reduce lead times.
A wine and cheese reception following on Wednesday night will include industry suppliers.
The symposium will be held at Swayduck Auditorium at the New School University, 65 Fifth Avenue at 13th Street.
A registration fee of $785 ($525 for individual and corporate AATCC members) will include luncheons, breaks and a copy of all available papers.
Concept 2 Consumer (C2C) is a committee of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), based here. The committee, formed in 2001, provides a forum for textile, apparel and home fashions manufacturers to discuss issues surrounding the creation of product.
