Seattle —
Basic bedding manufacturer Pacific Coast Feather Company (PCFC) has received a good response to the debut of its trademarked Rejuve Reclaimed Eco-Fiber.
PCFC presented a 12-product line at the New York Home Fashions Market, including pillows, comforters and mattress pads. The blown version of Rejuve debuted in a down-alternative pillow, while the garnet fiber showed in pillows, comforters and mattress pads. Both versions, noted the company, "hold up particularly well to machine washing" and using the recycled materials keeps them "very affordable."
"We're excited to expand our offering in the eco-friendly product category," said Fritz Kruger, svp of marketing. "And proud to be a part of the growing movement to find creative ways to reduce unnecessary waste. For every pillow we make with our Reclaimed Eco-Fiber, we're able to keep 27 bottles from going into a landfill."
The fiber is made from 100% clear post-consumer recycled 2-liter soda bottles, the company said.
In addition to its Rejuve line Pacific Coast, founded 125 years ago, also offers products filled with Ingeo blown, cluster and garnet fibers; Ingeo is a sustainable biopolymer fiber fill derived from annually renewable raw materials.
We would love your feedback!
