Marietta, Ga. —
Wools of New Zealand’s 2011 color forecast encompasses 100 shades largely inspired by organic and natural elements.
The collection, created by colorist Joanna Ramsden, includes colors from which custom palettes are being developed for individual manufacturers. The 2011 forecast includes “luxurious shades” of white, such as “delicate iced pastels, classic neutrals, sophisticated naturals, chic mid-tones, rich and exotic earth shades, fashionable vibrant brights and deep mysterious darks,” WONZ noted.
“Organic materials are replacing glossy alternatives preferred before the economic downturn,” Ramsden explained. “These materials identify with reassurance and longevity, heritage and tradition. “
These colors are presented in either fan cards or on poms that are dyed on the company’s Laneve-branded New Zealand wool. WONZ’s 2011 color forecast is available through its website, www.wonz.com, for $300 plus shipping costs.
