Invista’s McCracken dies

Toldeo, Ohio. – Memorial services were held for Steve McCracken, who had served as president and ceo of Invista, the former DuPont textile business, after it was sold to Koch Industries.
McCracken, 54, died of stomach cancer on Feb. 7, and was chairman and ceo of Owens-Illinois until his health forced him to leave. He headed Invista from April 2003 to January 2004. Earlier he was president of the Lycra Worldwide business for five years when it was part of the DuPont Textiles & Interiors division.
He is survived by his wife Judy, three daughters, a son, his mother and a sister.
