Royale Linens Expands, Heads to 7W NY

Kearny, N.J. —

Six months after being acquired by Pakistani home textiles manufacturer Yunus Textiles, Royale Linens is taking its first permanent New York showroom, to better highlight the fact that the one-time sheet jobber is now a full bedding manufacturer and sourcing firm.

"Royale only had sheet sets. But when this deal happened with Yunus, suddenly our product line expanded exponentially," said David Kaliski, president.

Royale Linens' new showroom is located at 7 W. 34th Street, which is rapidly accruing home textiles showrooms. The 2,000-square-foot space will be open on the fourth floor by August for the New York Home Fashions Summer Market, Aug. 6-10.

The showroom will have up to nine display beds on the floor "to show off all the manufacturing techniques and abilities of this company," said Frank Snow, vp, operations. "Yunus can handle from 200-count to 600-count in several grades of cloth."

Royale is responsible for inventory management, sales, and distribution in the United States.

"With our warehousing, we're the arm for domestic replenishment. We can get an order invoice on Monday and ship on Friday," said Kaliski. "When the customer looks at the direct cost versus the cost through us, we're right there – sometimes less."
