Ralph Lauren provides glimpse of fall bedding intros

New York — Ralph Lauren Home gave retailers a peek last week at what's in store for October Market, and this week it was the trade press's turn. Lifting the veil on only the Ralph Lauren Collection part of the line (Lauren will show this fall), the company showed three bedding collections.
Beekman master bedroom's primary components consist of loosely sketched brown floral 400-count sateen sheets against a chocolate pieced leather lambskin blanket with a chocolate and white chevron duvet and shams. Accent pieces include Euro shams in white flanged with brown, cocoa shams edged in white, and Bullard Windowpane plaid drapes as well as glazed white drapes lined with an overscaled brown-and-white herringbone.
Mood Indigo, a nod to the shlubby side of artistic life, features a duvet cover, sham and fitted sheets that draw design direction from well-worn dungarees. The ocean-washed white top sheet and pillowcases have a relaxed, shirt-like feeling, and topstitched denim Euro shams sport metal jean buttons. The collection includes a denim channel-stitched quilt, a pieced sherling throw pillow, a cotton knit ribbed throw and a soft-looped wool rug, which will be custom-made to spec in Europe.
Mecox Bay, a brightly hued design group suggesting summer on the shore, tops the bed with a Madras plaid duvet and Euro shams, bright lemon and turquoise shirting stripe pillow cases and sheeting with a white linen cuff. Accents include a linen throw pillow, white cotton cable knit shams and a yellow Amalia cotton bed blanket.
Also part of the Collection showing were accent pieces under the name Sagaponack. Among the highlights: a plush Mongolian lamb throw, throw pillows and oversized floor cushions made of knitted paper and a throw pillow of amber suede trapunto quilting.
