Jo-Ann appoints executive vp post

Hudson, OH — Jo-Ann Stores has appointed Valerie Gentile Sachs as executive vp, general counsel and secretary, effective Jan. 6. She will report to Alan Rosskamm, chairman and ceo.
Sachs was most recently general counsel and chief legal officer for Marconi PLC, a global telecommunications equipment and solutions company headquartered in London. She was also actively involved in the financial restructuring of the company and the global reorganization of the legal department.
