Stein Mart elects directors

Jacksonville, FL — Two top Stein Mart execs were elected to the board of directors during the company's annual shareholders meeting here yesterday.

Joining the board for a one-year term are Michael Fisher, president and ceo, and Gwen Manto, vice chairman and chief merchandising officer. Also elected was Richard Sisisky, president of The Sisisky Company and former president and coo of ParkerVision.

Returning directors include Jay Stein, chairman; Jack Williams Jr., vice chairman and former company ceo; Pete Carpenter, former vice chair of CSX Corp.; Linda McFarland Farthing, former president of Friedman's and The Cato Corp.; Mitchell Legler, general counsel; Michael Rose, private investor and chairman of Gaylord Entertainment; Martin Stein Jr., chairman and ceo of Regency Centers Corp.; Wayne Weaver, chairman and ceo of LC Footwear and chairman, ceo and majority owner of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars; and James Winston, chairman of LPMC, a real estate investment firm.
