Stanton names Sides gm

SYOSSET, NY —

Stanton Carpet Corp., an importer of high-quality wool and synthetic broadloom products and area rugs, has named Stephen Sides general manager of its Georgia distribution center.

Sides will be charged with further streamlining the operations and efficiencies of Stanton's 80,000-square-foot customer service and distribution center in Calhoun, GA. He will be responsible for all departments and operations residing in Calhoun and will report directly to Sy Cohen, president.

Sides joins Stanton following an 11-year tenure at Beaulieu Group, most recently as vp of warehouse operations. Other positions he held at Beaulieu throughout his tenure included vp of regional operations, logistics and systems manager; director of distribution; and operations manager. He also spent four years with Shaw Industries as regional operations manager.
