Thom Felicia to Partner Up for Complete Home Line

Celebrity interior designer Thom Filicia plans to unveil this year his own home collection comprising area rugs and broadloom, textiles, furniture, lighting and consumer appliances.
Filicia will design all of the components for his eponymous line, the Thom Filicia Home collection.
"For many years I have designed custom furnishings for my private clients. It's always been important to me that I reflect those clients' unique personalities in my designs. I am now thrilled to offer consumers across the country that same opportunity," said Filicia, an Emmy award winner and nominee who for five seasons served as the design guru among the five main characters of the Bravo reality TV program "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." He is currently starring in his own Style Network series, "Dress My Nest." In addition, Filicia is the recent recipient of Interior Design magazine's Merit Award for Outstanding Eco-Design.
In selecting licensee partners for the collection, "It was very important that each of them had an environmentally sensitive approach to manufacturing and quality of materials wherever possible to ensure long-lasting, sustainable products," said Marc Szafran, president of Filicia's design company.
Thom Filicia Home collection's current signed licensee roster includes: Safavieh for area rugs, which are set to debut this spring; Kravet for textiles, which are scheduled for rollout this spring and fall; and Shaw for carpet for the hospitality market.
Safavieh's program will be on display for the first time at the High Point Market April 25–30 at the company's showroom in suite 120 of Market Square. It will include hand-woven, hand-tufted and machine-made area rugs.
