Designer to Help Grow Kitchen Lines

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 2/20/2006 12:00:00 AM

New York — As part of its recent effort to grow its kitchen textiles business, Bardwil Industries has appointed Stephanie Salway to the newly created post of design director, kitchen textiles.

She reports to Julie Polich, vp of design.

Salway was most recently with New York-based Town and Country Living, where she spent the past nine years of her career. She began there as an assistant designer and climbed the ranks, lastly serving as vp of design, with a concentration on seasonal table linens and kitchen textiles as well as everyday kitchen textiles. Prior to that, she worked in the apparel industry at Liz Claiborne.

At Bardwil, Salway is adding breadth of product, more styling, and improved fabrications to the company's kitchen textiles line. She is also enhancing its multi-pack assortments and creating new packaging.
