George Todor passes

Philadephia -- George Todor, vp of E.A. Hughes & Company and a former executive with Cotton Inc, Ticaro Knits and Springs Industries, passed away on April 7 after a very short battle with cancer.

Tudor spent 30 years in the textiles industry and other fashion related industries. His career covered a wide range of management positions -- from fiber to finished product -- in the home fashions industry and industrial textiles markets. His dealings within the industry also include men’s, women’s and children’s products.

At Cotton Incorporated, he served as the senior vp of sales and marketing. He also held various management positions at Dixie Yarns/Ticaro Knits, J.P. Stevens & Co., Dundee Mills and Springs Industries.

Tudor earned his B.S. from Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science (now Philadelphia University). He was a founding member of the New York Textile Group, formerly known as the New York Textile Board of Trade and has been involved in various industry related committees.

He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
