Welspun garners two Indian awards

NEW YORK — Welspun, the Indian textile company with U.S. operations based here, has received two awards from the government of India for its export activity.
The awards were granted by Texprocil, a government-sponsored council for the country's textile industry. Welspun received the Texprocil Gold Trophy for outstanding export performance in finished goods among mill exporters for the 1999-2000 period. It also received the Special Achievement Award for the same period.
