Belk promotes Orvos, Samples

Charlotte, N.C. – Southeastern regional department store chain Belk will promote Adam Orvos to evp human resources, effective April 3; Orvos is currently svp finance and controller, as well as principal accounting officer.

In the same filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Belk said Rodney Samples will become vp, controller and principal accounting officer effective the same date. Samples joined Belk as vp financial reporting and accounting in June 2007, from Saks Inc.
