NEW YORK —
Inspired to expand its category breadth and depth as a multi-category home textile importer, Park B. Smith Ltd. is aggressively increasing its kitchen textile offerings in time for the upcoming fall market.
More constructions and patterns are being added to the company's two existing kitchen textile collections — Eco-Chef and Kitchen Kitchen — which have been part of Park B. Smith's offerings for the past five years.
The "most exciting new construction," according to Valborg Linn, director of design and merchandising, is the new tapestry line under the Kitchen Kitchen collection. Park B. Smith will introduce three patterns, titled Sweet Cherries, Garden Sampler and Fresh Herbs.
"We've been very successful with our tapestry place mats, table runners, rugs and slices and decorative pillows," Linn said. "It was a logical next step to go somewhere where no one else has gone before, which is to add tapestry onto a pot holder, oven mitt, the trim of a kitchen towel and an apron."
Other constructions for the growing kitchen textile collection include prints and wovens, some of which coordinate with Park B. Smith's new café curtain collections.
As for new patterns, others include new colorways for Potpourri Block — the company's bestseller in table linens and rugs — as well as a new Eco-chef pattern.
Price points have not yet been set, Linn said, but the collections are targeting specialty and department stores.
We would love your feedback!
