Somerset, N.J. -- Looking to expand its business in the West Coast, Kas Oriental Rugs recently signed a lease for a permanent showroom at the Las Vegas World Market Center.
The more than 6,000-square-foot showroom will be located in Building C, which is scheduled to open in July 2008.
Wendy Reiss, key account manager, told HTT this not-yet-constructed new showroom will be comparable in size to the company's showroom in Atlanta at the AmericasMart.
Kas also operates three other showrooms -- High Point, N.C.; New York City; and Somerset, N.J., at its corporate headquarters.
Kas leased a temporary, 2,500-square-foot showroom at the Rug Pavilion in January and will retain it through next summer, Reiss said. “Las Vegas presents a wonderful opportunity for us to grow and build serious retailer relationships on the West Coast," she said.
Kas is one of several rug companies moving into permanent showrooms in Las Vegas' World Market. Capel, Hellenic, Abbyson, Oriental Weavers, United Weavers, Foreign Accents, Nourison, 828, and Feizy are some others with already established or pending showrooms at the site.
We would love your feedback!
