Value City taps Glasser for softlines

Columbus, OH — Value City Department Stores has appointed Stuart Glasser to head the softlines merchandising operations of its department stores. He will succeed Ray Blanton, who resigned from the company to pursue other interests.
He most recently held the position of president and coo of Casual Male Corp. He served as president and ceo of Casual Male from 1997. Glasser was also a member of the board of directors of Casual Male from June 1998 until February 2001.
Glasser was previously an executive vp and gmm of men's, boy's, children's and cosmetics for Bloomingdale's, a division of Federated Department Stores Inc.
