Heimtextil to be a Dreamland

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 12/13/2004 12:00:00 AM

Noted Italian designer and architect Paola Navone will create the settings for Dreamland at Heimtextil here, held from Jan. 12 through 15.

The Dreamland settings will be featured in halls 9.1 and 9.2 — the new halls designated for the high-end bed and bath exhibitors. Each of the Dreamland presentations will be structured as wide, pillar-lined avenues that also will offer spacious lounge areas.

In hall 9.1, black and white will be the color statement with the barcode as a recurring symbol in the design. Hall 9.2 will reflect the world of the '50s with lively, bright colors and oversized shapes.

Heimtextil also will feature technology trends including CAD/CAM and ink jet printing developments along with technology in hall 4.0. These activities formerly were in halls 8.0 and 9.0.

The editeurs, formerly in hall 3.1 along with rugs, now will have a hall of their own and will have a banner name of “Editeure: deco & style.”

Heimtextil will expand its effort to help exhibitors with intellectual property rights issues through its program of “Heimtextil Against Copying” (HAC). Its legal advisory service is available at no charge from Jan. 11 to 15 in room 211 of hall 4.C.

A series of information sessions on registering trademarks and designs will be available at no charge on Jan. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Room Agenda, Forum, Level O and on Jan. 14 in Room Symmetrie 2, hall 8.1 from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Heimtextil also will host an exhibitor party and entertainment on Wednesday, Jan. 12 in the Forum, Hall Panorama, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
