Chicago -- Nearly 300 home furnishings industry executives enjoyed the Chicago skyline views aboard the Mystic Blue at the annual Midwest Dinner Cruise benefit for City of Hope last month.
This year’s cruise was hosted by Sea Products/Skyline Furniture and Darvin Furniture. The event, honoring Marty and Steve Darvin, raised more than $100,000 for City of Hope’s biomedical research and treatment of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The National Home Furnishings Industry chapter encompasses representatives from all facets of the industry including retail, manufacturing and publishing. To date, the group has raised more than $43 million for City of Hope, which operates a Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, Calif.
