New York — The renaissance of Bloomingdale's home and furniture format comes to fruition next month, as it opens a store on Nov. 1 in Las Vegas, which is also a new market for the retailer.
Bloomingdale's previously had a handful of home concept stores over a decade ago. At 100,000 square feet, the new Las Vegas store will feature the categories of housewares, domestics, furniture, luggage, hard table top, rugs and mattresses. In addition, the store will offer a personalized bridal registry service.
In domestics, exclusive merchandise will include Bloomingdale's at Home, which features the luxurious Platinum and Classique collections of sheets, duvets, towels, down comforters and pillows. In addition, more than 30 exclusive quilt patterns will also be available, as will the Joy and Jake collection of bedspreads, shower curtains, decorative pillows and more.
Using linear spaces, the store is classically modern with black glass columns that connect to luminous glass ceilings. Both dark and light woods are used, and the changeable ceiling lighting can alter the store's mood or effect.
