Nourison bolsters hand-hooked line

SADDLE BROOK, NJ —
Placing a larger emphasis on its hand-hooked machine-washable offerings, rug maker Nourison launched a line of 2' x 3' slices as part of its holiday 2003 line. It also introduced a more aggressive price point range of $19.99 from $24.99 for all varieties in that construction.
"We had a great Christmas sell-through in '02 with our hooks, so we wanted to expand on them for this market," said Gary Shafran, sales and marketing manager. "If they sold well last year at $24.99, imagine how well they'll do at $19.99 this year."
All of Nourison's domestics line offerings are made in China.
