Colonial Mills preps Vegas showroom

Pawtucket, R.I. – Braided texture area rugs and home accessories manufacturer cmi (Colonial Mills, Inc.) will host a grand opening of its new permanent showroom at the Las Vegas World Market on July 29.

The showroom is in Building C in space C-860, and cmi’s party – which will include giveaways of gift baskets and refreshments – is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The 1,500-square-foot space is decorated in a vibrant color palette and outfitted with braided-texture rug displays. The centerpiece: a series of large picture frames made of the company’s rugs in chocolate colorways. Rug collections and accessories in traditional patterns will be highlighted behind these frames in both contemporary and conservative settings. One of the frames features a flat-screen television showing a DVD of cmi’s manufacturing facility and its collections in room settings.

Products to be highlighted include three new trademarked braided-texture rug collections -- ridgevale, shear natural, and valencia.

“We’re excited to now have a showroom in Las Vegas and, along with it, a permanent market presence in the western part of the United States,” said Donald Scarlata, president and ceo of cmi.
