Bardwil opens up Lenox Bath lines

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/20/2007 12:00:00 AM

Bardwil Linens' Lenox Bath division has struck a chord with its Platinum collection of cotton and bamboo blended bath towels. Banking on retail reaction, the company has created several new offerings.

The original Platinum line has been expanded in palette, bringing the wisteria, tea rose, chocolate truffle, and marigold colors to both towels and rugs.

Platinum now has a striped sister called just that — Platinum Stripe — that comes in six colors. The look is achieved through piece dying, explained Linda Kulla, vp, Lenox Bath division. "I used 100% bamboo for one stripe, then 100% cotton for the next, and then a blend of the two for the third stripe and so on. It's not a yarn dye but rather a piece-dyed construction."

Also new is the Taj collection, which like Platinum boasts a 70% cotton/30% bamboo fiber content — but in addition features a wide jacquard end hem in a paisley pattern. This group comes in eight colors.

Married to Taj is Empress, an all-over jacquard paisley pattern — the same as Taj's design — using the same piece-dyed construction as the Stripe assortment. It, too, comes in eight colors to mix and match with the other new assortments.
