JLA Home teams with Echo Design

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 9/30/2008 2:20:00 PM

New York – Echo Design Group and JLA Home recently inked a licensing partnership to co-create a bedding collection that marries 85-year-old Echo’s design expertise with JLA’s manufacturing resources.

Set to launch in March during the New York Home Fashions Market, the collection will span eight bedding ensembles. It will be a “modern interpretation of stylish bedding designs with innovative fabrications,” the companies said.

“We are very excited to announce our partnership with JLA Home as we continue to grow in the home category,” said Steven Roberts, Echo president and ceo. “JLA’s efficient business model offers great depth and breadth of capabilities.”

Added Scott Howard, vp of sales for JLA: “Echo’s expertise in color and pattern, combined with our innovative materials and fabrications, will bring a fresh perspective to our customers.”

For Echo, the partnership with JLA represents the company’s latest addition to its growing roster of home textiles programs. Creative Bath is Echo’s bath coordinates licensee; Kravet is its partner for fabrics and trims; and Kensington for soft window treatments.

JLA also works with several designer-licensors for bedding, including Candice Olson, decorator star of HGTV’s “Divine Design program,” as well as Josie Natori and Robert Allen @ Home.
