Unifi to debut Repreve nylon at Intertextile Shanghai

Suzhou, China – Polyester and nylon textured yarn manufacturer Unifi will introduce Repreve nylon 6,6 to the Chinese market at Intertextile Shanghai, Oct. 20-23.

Like Repreve polyester, Repreve nylon is a first-quality yarn made from 100% recycled materials; its production reduces energy consumption and conserves petroleum-based resources, the company said.

Unifi, through its UTSC subsidiary, will show at booth W1E02 in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

A Greensboro, N.C.-based company, Unifi established UTSC in China to sell into local manufacturing markets. Roger Berrier, evp, Unifi, said of the Repreve nylon introduction, “now with the product availability in Asia, this will further allow us to consistently supply high quality 100% recycled products wherever our customers choose to do business.”
