Trendex Makes Sales and Ops Moves

Trendex Home Designs has appointed two hires to newly created posts in its sales and operations teams and added responsibilities to an existing sales force member.

Sheila Lynch has been assigned to fill the new position of sales manager for Canadian accounts. Previously, she worked for the Hudson Bay Company, serving in various capacities, including buying responsibilities for both The Bay and Zeller's stores as well as positions in advertising and corporate marketing. In her new post, she is based in Toronto and reports to Claire Kaufman, president.

Neil Greenspon joins the company as director of operations — another newly created post. He brings an extensive business and accounting background in both textiles and apparel, the company said. Also reporting to Kaufman, he is based here at the corporate office and factory.

Lorraine Ragland Maberry, vice president of sales and merchandising, now holds the additional responsibility of handling international accounts.

Trendex is also in the process of adding additional personnel to handle its U.S. market.

With these new appointments, Kaufman said she is now placing more emphasis in her work on managing the company's expansion in China. Several months ago, Trendex opened a showroom and factory in Shanghai. Kaufman said she will divide her time among Trendex's three sites — Montreal, New York City and Shanghai.
